PAST PROJECTS
WOMEN VOICES
The Women Voices (formally known as Go Girls) initiative teaches impoverished and sick women useful commercial and domestic skills (such as tailoring and clothing design) to empower them and allow them to develop self-reliance. This program gives previously unemployed women the skills and tools necessary to generate income and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

GIRLS' VOICE AMPLIFIER
To combat the alarming rise of child marriages in Malawi during the COVID-19 pandemic, DIN Malawi launched the Girls' Voice Amplifier initiative to provide young girls with strong support networks and a foundational education to reduce child marriage. Along with directly supporting at-risk girls, our organization will be working to change community attitudes on the morality of child marriage.

SUPPORTING MTHUMBA
In early 2022, Malawi's Mthumba area suffered significant devastation due to the heavy rainfall and flooding caused by Cyclone Ana. In addition to the displacement of approximately 333 households, the Community Based Childcare Centre was left in structural ruin. DIN Malawi has taken initiative to supply the educational, nutritional, and safety needs of these children by rebuilding the centre and restoring their day-to-day activities.
