WOMEN VOICES
Objective: To empower disenfranchised women and equip them with tools to become self-reliant by acquiring tailoring skills
Motivated women who aspired to become tailors and designers in Chikwawa district were recruited by DIN Malawi and equipped with business skills, advanced tailoring skills, and soft skills in a 6-month training course. DIN Malawi employed interested trainees as tailors who created clothes and fabric items for sale. The profits were directed towards benefiting DIN’s various community projects. More sewing machines will be added to enable us to recruit more trainees for future inductions.
